The Village of Howard is seeking a part-time seasonal golf clubhouse manager to run the golf and restaurant operationsof the Village Green Golf Course and Restaurant. Applicants should haveexperience in retail sales or golf pro shop operations as well as restaurantexperience, knowledge of Wisconsin food service laws, experience as a cook, computerskills (primarily Microsoft Office and POS), able to coach and manage employeesand experience with daily deposits. Applicant must have a high school degreewith higher educational degrees preferred in management or culinary arts. Applicant must have excellent customer service skills to help provide forthe needs of 500 newly acquired golf members.
Exempt position withsalary paid on a biweekly basis ranging $1,308 - $1,730 (based on 40 hours perweek) plus incentive on profit sharing of restaurant operations. Aseasonal position with potential to continue restaurant operations duringoff-season if profitable but at an hourly rate ranging from $16.50 - $22/hour. Emphasis in this position will be on customerservice for the new members of the golf course as well as providing leadershipand direction for the restaurant operations. The position will sharesubstantially in the monthly net income of the restaurant operations and annualbonus for exceeding goals in golf net income.
Employer is looking for someone to focus their energy on increasing the numberof rounds of golf played each year by adding leagues and fostering youth golferparticipation. The position will also betasked with creating new events for league members and possibly establishretail sales of golf equipment in pro shop for new members. New manager will also need to hire almost allthe staff for the pro shop and restaurant prior to opening for the season.
