Community Garden Program

The Village of Howard hosts a community garden on the Fire Station #2 property on Shawano Avenue at Milltown Road. The garden features seven plots that are 20'x40' in size and ten larger plots that are 40'x40' in size. The 20'x40' plots are just $20 for the season, and the 40'x40' sites cost $40 each. Water is available on the site free of charge, and gardeners are able to connect their own hoses or fill their own buckets to use it.

The garden season runs May 1 through Nov. 1. Returning gardeners may reserve their same plots beginning April 1 of each year. Other gardeners who are Howard residents may reserve one plot beginning April 15. Remaining plots are available after May 1 for non-residents and those who desire multiple plots.

Plots are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis by return of the signed paperwork and fee according to the dates listed above. Please note: Early registrations will not be accepted.
